Cibola High School or Crane Middle School

The Celebration of Strings Festival is a full day of Yuma County string musicians coming together to work and play. All string orchestra classes are welcome.

The students will divide into three groups. The Level 1 orchestra is for the very beginning string students. Level 2 orchestra is for students who can read music and play a two-octave G Major Scale. The Level 3 orchestra will be for students who are proficient in a two-octave C, G, D, A and F Major Scale. Lunch will be provided for you.

Conductors registering an orchestra must:

Concert dress is either all black or white (or light) on the top and black (or dark) on the bottom.

The three orchestras will practice at the same time in different rooms from 10:00 A.M. until noon, share a lunch together for a social time, and have a dress rehearsal from 1:00 – 2:30 P.M. There should be plenty of time to change clothes with the concert beginning at 3:00 P.M.

If you wish to have your orchestra students participate or would like to be one of the conductors contact Margaret Fenske at Email or call 928-261-6444.

This festival should be a fun and inspiring day for your students, one that they will remember for their lifetime. We hope you will agree to participate and that the day will be filled with memory making moments which will last a lifetime for you and your students.
