The YCMEA Junior/Senior High Choral Festival is an adjudicated festival for junior and senior high school choirs. Each ensemble will have:
20 minutes - warm up
20 minutes – performance – maximum 3 songs
20 minutes - clinic with one of the judges.
Each group will receive written comments from three adjudicators as well as a clinic with one of the judges who heard the performance.
Fees: $75.00 per ensemble
$10.00 for any non-YCMEA member
Kofa does not have a sound system with feedback, nor performance microphones. We can, however, play tapes or cd’s through what sound system we have. Please have tapes cued for our sound person. We have 3-level risers that are 4 feet wide.
Each director is responsible for all other equipment.
Please include enough time in your itinerary for your students to listen to some of the others choirs. Also, instruct your students on proper etiquette for being an audience member at a festival.
If your are planning to eat lunch on Kofa’s campus, please let me know how many at least 2 weeks in advance.
You must complete one online registration form for each participating Choir before February 15, 2008.
