The YCMEA Jr. High Honor Choir is a collaborative group for Jr. High choirs. Each school should bring up to:
10 sopranos
10 altos
Each school will receive music to rehearse and memorize prior to March 2.
Fees: $50.00 per school
$10.00 for any non-YCMEA member
Friday, March 7, 9:30am – 2:00pm rehearse music together at Gila Ridge
Saturday, March 8, 5:00pm Festival of Excellence with other groups
Each director is responsible for auditioning or choosing singers for this event.
Please arrange for transportation to and from the rehearsal.
There will be a lunch break on the day of the rehearsal. Please make sure students have lunch money (usually no more than $2.00) or a lunch.
On the day of the concert students are to show up in concert dress at 4:15pm. Also, instruct your students on proper etiquette for being an audience member at a festival.
